How to know if your machine takes ESE pods
By the Siag team ·

In this article
Before you buy pods, it takes two minutes to be sure they fit. Here is how to check.
Look for the words
Check the manual, the box or the machine itself for "ESE", "E.S.E." or "44 mm pods". Many machines also say "pods" or, in Italian, "cialde".
Look at the pod holder
An ESE machine has a wide, shallow holder made for a flat, round paper pod. If your machine has a narrow slot for a capsule, or a cup for a K-Cup, it is a different system.
The quick rules
- Round, flat paper pod, 44 mm wide: ESE.
- Small sealed capsule with a rim: Nespresso or similar.
- Plastic cup with a foil lid: K-Cup.
Still not sure?
Write to us on WhatsApp with the name or a photo of your machine. We will tell you if our pods fit.
